Thanks to all the pitchers taking part on the night, we couldn’t do it without you.
There were 4 projects on the night and though they all shared the pot, they’re all still need your help & support.
If you can help please get in touch with them directly or use our contact form.
1 – Cook and Crèche
Cook and Crèche is a project run by the Foodshed Co-op in association the Salvation Army Brighton. It addresses the twin disadvantages relating to healthy eating on a tight budget and accessing affordable child care, by providing a safe, fun and educational space for low income and single parent families to learn, support and feed each other.
We need funds to pay for room hire, registered childminders for the crèche, teaching insurance, and ingredients for the cooking
Pitching: Debbie Hardy
2 – republic
republic offers an overarching learning and development path through coffee, for the hardest to reach young people in Brighton & Hove. With focused sessions where training and national qualifications are given, work experience and employability pathways and every member of the project receives mentoring & support throughout. The money raised will help support the project.

3 – The Bike Hub
The Bike Hub is a volunteer run community cycle workshop, providing free/affordable access to tools, parts and facilities in a friendly and supportive environment to enable more people to maintain their own bikes and develop the skills required. Enabling users and volunteers to develop cycle maintenance skills and confidence, particularly those on low income for whom shop repairs may be prohibitively expensive, creating a friendly, sociable and supportive space where people of all ages and backgrounds can meet and learn from each other.
We are working in partnership with the University of Brighton Students Union and the funds will help them set up at their new location at Preston Barracks.

Decorations, Donations & Raffle Prizes
These are the local (and some national) businesses that supported us with donations and some amazing raffle prizes. Without these contributions we couldn’t afford to cover the cost of hosting the event so that all the ticket donations can go to the winner.
So a HUGE thank you!
Thanks to Olivia from Community Base for her continuing support and to Caz O’Kane and Sam Hart for being part of the project selection.
Thank you Judy Sweeney for once again spending the evening helping Peter and Lizzie in the kitchen. Steph Shaw for the photography, And of course all those that helped us clear up afterwards.
